The Regenerative Medicine Conference

Under the Conseil d’Etat de la Republique et Canton de Genève high patronage.

Monday, 26th of October 2009 at the United Nations Office Geneva (UNOG), Palais des Nations, Switzerland, the Biobridge Foundation and its Scientific Committee will once again create a stimulating environment for debate and discussion on the topic of regenerative medicine, in which officials, scientific researchers, professionals and specialized scholars are invited to participate.

Focusing on adult stem cells, the second UNOG conference

Stem cell research and therapy continues to make significant advancements in medical treatments. The aim of the conference is to showcase these developments with focus on regenerative medicine.
Prof. Luc Montagnier, Nobel Prize of Medicine in 2008, delivers the introduction with his vision for natural medicine, “Fighting for Life: Prevention is Better than Cure”.

Gathering the relevant people to share, discuss and project

Research and development in biotechnology requires the collaboration of its industry members, in a common effort to drive advancements in health through innovations as well as building a profit centre in this growing area. The Biobridge-event offers a platform through which scientific researchers, industry professionals, manufacturers and investors can forge and strengthen ties on an international and regional level.

Meeting at United Nations Office Geneva, Palais des Nations

Usually home to high-profile international and interstates political meetings, the conference centre will open its doors to the cause of regenerative medicine.
As the host of the event, His Excellency Sergei Ordzhonikidze, the UNOG Director-General will be welcoming delegates and participants in the assembly hall. 

The location is chosen on the basis that the Lake Geneva Region and specifically the state of Geneva continues to bring together the world’s most respected research organizations and laboratories, having been named the leading biotechnology cluster in continental Europe by Science magazine.
Conclusion to the day will be by Minister of Economy and Public Health in the canton of Geneva, Prof. Pierre-François Unger. He will share his insights into the regulatory and inter-governmental aspects that surround the topic of regenerative medicine today.
